Finticipate – SEE FinTech Forum Vol.4

The Finticipate Forum is a growing annual event that has become a central gathering for leaders and innovators in the financial technology, banking, regulatory, and investment sectors across Southeast Europe. It brings together a vibrant community of fintech entrepreneurs, banking professionals, investors, regulators, legal experts, and ecosystem enablers to explore the most pressing trends, challenges, and opportunities driving the future of finance.

Recognized by the regional fintech community as a dynamic and future-oriented platform, the Forum offers a unique space for knowledge sharing, impactful networking, and cross-sector dialogue, all with the aim of accelerating fintech innovation and collaboration in SEE and beyond.

Finticipate – SEE FinTech Forum Vol. 4 took place on May 23rd, 2025, in a hybrid format at Hotel Mona Plaza in Belgrade, combining in-person sessions with online participation. This edition welcomed over 150 participants from 16 countries, including C-level executives, startup founders, investors, regulators, legal professionals, and ecosystem builders.

Objective

Staying true to its mission of driving fintech innovation and shaping the future of financial services, the Forum focused on creating meaningful connections between innovators, regulators, and investors. The agenda featured five panels and five fireside chats, as well as presentations and “Take the Stage” sessions, encouraging dialogue across disciplines.

Key topics included open banking, PSD2 and SEPA implementation, tokenization, embedded finance, AI adoption in financial services, cyber resilience, and capital market innovation through digital assets and Web 3.0 models. The Forum also addressed national fintech strategies, regulatory developments at the EU level, and broader market and investment trends.

Special attention was given to inclusion, accessibility, and the role of fintech in driving economic resilience and transformation in the region.

Goal

Over the past four editions, Finticipate has emerged as a leading platform for fintech dialogue in SEE, welcoming hundreds of participants and catalyzing meaningful collaborations across borders. This year’s edition featured 44 speakers and gathered over 150 stakeholders, including representatives of key institutions, startups, scale-ups, established financial actors, and supporting organizations.

Finticipate Vol.4 underscored the transformative potential of fintech across the SEE region and laid the groundwork for future collaboration, regulation, and innovation. It affirmed the need for sustained dialogue and partnership to harness new technologies for inclusive and forward-looking financial ecosystems.
