SEE Gaming Business Forum Vol.2

The SEE Gaming Business Forum Vol.2 was held on 15th of October 2021, and is the second event of this kind focused on South East Europe

Objectives

The SEE Gaming Business Forum Vol.2 was held on 15th of October 2021 at the Mona Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia and on an advanced virtual event platform Collectivibe. This forum was the second event of this kind primarily focused on South East Europe.

New Angles Consulting brought together C-level executives, software suppliers and major providers, casino and sportsbook operators, lotteries, payment solutions companies, affiliates and national regulators to discuss the industry requirements, business strategy, investment opportunities, regulatory obstacles, social responsibility, HR issues, and the role of technology in the industry.

One of the Forum’s primary goals was to create a stronger community of industry professionals and regulators in order to further develop the gaming market in this part of the world and tackle the most important issues facing the gaming/gambling industry professionals today.

Unlike last year, this year’s forum was both onsite and online one-day event. Events are going back to normal and the world is adopting to hybrid events as a standard that offers benefits to all participants.

One-day Forum was divided into four panels and one fireside chat dedicated to HR matters since we noticed that this is one of the burning issues in the gaming industry.

As the previous year, the Forum was institutionally supported by the Games of Chance Administration, Ministry of Finance.

On the virtual platform, the attendees had an opportunity to visit a series of sculptures created on the theme “Liberation” by artist Masa Paunovic @paunovicm.sculpture, as a part of a newly introduced format, Art Intermezzo. Her solo and group exhibitions include five personal exhibitions in Serbia and one personal exhibition in South Korea, as well as more than 100 national and international group exhibitions. She received five awards for her sculptures.

Overview/solution

New Angles Consulting oversaw all aspects of the hybrid event, including onsite and online branding, design, content creation, registrations, speaker preparation and rehearsals, set-up, delivery and liaison with sponsors and exhibitors.

The Forum was streamed through the virtual event platform and was divided into 4 panel sessions and one fireside chat, running, all together, from 10 am – 17.00 pm CET time, allowing sponsors and exhibitors to place their virtual booths in an exhibition area where they could engage with attendees and provide downloadable materials and information.

Speakers and attendees included renowned and worldwide industry professionals discussing on a range of topics. Some of the speakers were President & CEO of the Slovenian National Lottery, Board Member and Executive Director responsible for products at TIPOS (National Lottery of Slovakia) together with their colleagues from Grand Casino, BalkanBet, Elbet, Betsson, Betagy, Merkur Games, Greatodds, Trustly, Orxy Gaming, NSoft, SignD, Better Collective.

The Forum was attended by the Director of the Serbian Games of Chance Administration and its representatives.

Results

Both virtual and onsite editions ran smoothly with interactive discussion and networking. By pivoting to a hybrid event, we were able to positioned this event as a leading regional event in the gaming industry.
