Agri Summit.tech

In 2023, as a part of USAID’s Big Small Businesses Project, New Angles Consulting was engaged to produce and organize a business event called AgriSummit.tech. AgriSummit.tech is a two-day regional conference that was held at the Mona Plaza Hotel in Belgrade.

Objective

The conference was dedicated to applying practical digital and technological (ICT) solutions in agriculture in the Western Balkans, focusing on the fruit, vegetable, and wine-growing sectors.
The event’s objectives were to create an effective platform for education, experience, and knowledge sharing, as well as showcase the best global and regional practices and trends in the field of digital and technological solutions in agriculture and to enable networking among all audiences interested in the field of AgriTech, particularly the connection and collaboration between agricultural producers and providers of digital and technological (ICT) solutions.
The conference specifically focused on the Western Balkans region’s fruit, vegetable, and wine-growing sectors. The conference’s primary goal was to encourage the adoption of digital and innovative technologies, as well as solutions in the agriculture sector, and to improve business processes and performance in the region’s agricultural industry.

Solution

The event gathered 150+ participants, of which about 70 were producers from the Western Balkans region. These producers had the opportunity to connect with 20 digital solution providers and learn about the importance of applying new technologies in production to reduce the effects of climate change and achieve better results. The conference provided a platform for producers, digital solution providers, business associations, cooperatives, experts, academics, and research and development organizations from Serbia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, and Croatia to come together and share their knowledge and expertise.
The conference featured a significant number of international and regional speakers and high officials who attended and spoke at the event. State Secretary at the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and Head of the Economic Unit at the German Embassy Belgrade gave their opening remarks.

The event was supported by the USAID-funded Big Small Businesses Project, the regional USAID Economic Development, Governance and Enterprise Growth Project (EDGE), and the Project Support to Economic Diversification of Rural Areas in Southeast Europe (SEDRA II), which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The conference attracted over 150 attendees. Branding and Marketing materials

Development of the event’s name and visual identity: overall brand identity, primary and secondary logo, defined brand colors, fonts; Event headline and main messages; A short text for the website drafting; Development and design of conference venue mock-up; Provide mock-ups of print materials, nametags, roll-ups, and back walls.

Website development

Website Structure, Content & Design; Initial Design Wireframe: Homepage design, Internal page designs; Functional Prototype; Technical Development/ Programming; Drafting the texts for the website (in cooperation with the Project members); Content adjustment (Serbian & English); Testing & Launch; Coordination of the technical team in the website development process; Ongoing website update.

Research and development of the pre-event infrastructure

Research of the various event venues and proposal collection and selection; Contact of speakers and invitees.

Communication and promotional strategy

Email campaign infrastructure setup; Design of e-invitations in Serbian and English and adaptation of the content: speakers, potential participants and target audience, high -officials’ invitations, professional association invitations; Creation of social media graphics for the social media campaign; Post-event video production management (in coordination with the video production team).

Event Concept and Contacts Management

2-day event concept and development of the overall event production plan; Speakers’ Management: invitation send out, follow-up invitations, scheduling calls, gathering biographies and photos for the Forums’ website; Drafting the event scenario for the host and the technical production team (if applicable); Contact Database Management.

Pre-Event logistics, Venue Set up and Management

Coordination of technical requirements suppliers for developed event concept and venue set up; Photographer selection; Video crew selection.

Event Execution (the conference and the field trip)

On-site setup and testing of technical equipment; event coordination, Management, support, and direction for video crew and photographers; delegate check-in (registration), support, and monitoring; supervision of a field trip; Management of vendor staff, waitpersons, and equipment check; speaker support.

Post-Event Activities:

Post-event follow-up, thank you notes, and photo gallery; Post-event video production management; Selection of event photography and creation of photo gallery; Preparing post-event website content.
